OI-modeler

OI-modeler is an ontology editor and provides support for ontology creation and maintenance. The distinguishing features of OI-modeler are its support for manipulation of large ontologies and support for user-directed evolution of ontologies. Ontologies can be simultaneously edited by multiple users (when stored in the Engineering Server). All changes to transactional and OI-modeler provides full support for undo and redo of changes. Another novel feature is its support for querying the ontology using the KAON Query language. Navigation in an ontology is provided through graph-based and tree-based metaphors.

OI-modeler also provides an open and extensible platform to embed other ontology-aware software modules. Therefore users can access an KAON ontology registry and the TEXTTOONTO algorithms via Oi-Modeler.

KAON PORTAL

KAON Portal provides a simple framework for navigating and searching ontologies through Web browsers. While KAON Portal has been primarily developed as a framework, viz. is expected to be adapted to individual purposes by changing the layout (and possibly some code), it is fully functional as a stand-alone tool.
